This journey begins in Kalamazoo, Michigan ... home of no wineries, a few breweries, and two wine enthusiasts who set out to visit every winery in the State of Michigan. Our wine guide boasts of 81 wineries, but we've been told that by this time next year, a few more will have added their name to that list. At each stop, we will sample wine, hear the stories from the wine pourers (some of which will be the actual wine makers, some the relatives of the wine maker, and some, just an 18 year old looking for summer work, claiming to have never drank alcohol, so she has no idea what tastes good and what doesn't), buy a bottle or two, and take note of which wine suits our palate. Traditionally, Chris' favorite wine is a Pinot Noir and Erin's is a Cabernet Sauvignon. In Michigan, due to the climate and weather patterns, whites and fruity reds seem to be more of the trend, although we've gotten our hands on a few dry reds that make us want to throw some salmon on the grill and uncork the vino. And the adventure begins ...
Happy blogging you two! Can't wait to read about your travels :)
